Avismar Sweet Seduction of Perdack 1994 - 1997 The three years we shared with Willow were all too short. She was my first Whippet and was a very special dog. She was a dog in a million, kind, gentle, patient, loving. She taught me so much. When Willow was a year old she developed heart problems but in spite of her declining health she responded to her natural instincts to run with the wind. Her last morning on this earth she spent running with the pack along the canal towpath greeting all the friends, both animal and human, that she met. Willow never complained, accepting life as it came and living it to the full. She gently accepted all the vets tests and treatments appearing to know in her wisdom that they were there to help her. Everyone who knew her grieved at her passing to Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes by that she isn't in my thoughts and she will always have a very special place in my heart. This picture was taken of Willow a month before she died. She spent much of her time that summer on the recliner in the sunshine. |
