ANNIE MAY
1987 - 1995
Annie May was born on my birthday in November 1987. Her birth by Cesarean section proved also to be the death of her mother Daisy.
I returned home with Annie and a tub of milk replacement and hand-reared her. She imprinted on me in spite of having other dachsie role models and all her life she behaved like a noisy kid always wanting attention and always vocalizing her needs.
Annie was a sweet natured girl and loved everyone. At the age of 8 she developed septic arthritis in all her joints and could not stand. She did not respond to treatment and with the vets help the decision was made to put her to sleep.
Living with Annie was an experience I will never forget.
